It is an adaptation of the CAM which was originally developed to allow non-psychiatrists to assess delirium at the bedside. It ranges from 0 to 7, score greater to or equal to 3 will be considered positive for delirium, further categorized as 0-2 no delirium, 3-5 mild delirium 6-7 severe delirium with 7 being most severe."
