Her role in those projects was focused on the design, implementation, and analysis of animal treatment models.Derek Nelson, PhDResearch ScientistDr. Nelson earned his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his B.S. in chemical and biological engineering from the University of New Mexico. His doctoral research focused on biomaterials for neural engineering, encompassing the fields of recombinant technology, drug delivery, and genetic engineering. He also has research and clinical experience from a national lab, a biotech startup, and an engineering incubator, resulting in multiple publications and patents.Stephen Olney, PhDSenior Research AssociateDr. Olney received his B.S and Ph.D. from Indiana University-Bloomington, obtaining both degrees in Microbiology with a focus on bacteriology, genetics and biochemistry.
